Eat: Little Vietnam Cafe
So many of the places I recommend are in the Richmond district of San Francisco, not just because I lived there but because the Richmond has the best concentration of Asian food in the city, in my opinion. The avenues have the second largest Chinese population (next to Chinatown of course) and a large population of other Asian ethnicities in the area, which equals - great Asian food.
This pho spot has a richer broth that is perfect for their bun riu or bun bo hue. They also have really good banh mis and delicious, super fat spring rolls. There aren’t a lot of seats here so it’s a good spot for take out pho or a quick meal if you’re on the go. Just make sure to get the broth separate from the noodles so they don’t get soggy and soak up all the juices.
