Eat: Churreria El Moro

Whenever I eat out, I usually don’t save room for dessert because I LOVE filling up on savory food. Don’t get me wrong, I love boba, b. patisserie’s kouign amanns and Swedish fish but I usually don’t crave sweets. I knew that I had to try the churros at El Moro though even though I’m not a big dessert person. It was worth it. Lucky for us our AirBnB was on the next block from El Moro so we actually got to go twice.

The churros on their own were delicious. They’ve been open since 1935 and people are packed in there all day until late into the night. They are served as fresh as can be, piped into boiling hot oil with a variety of dipping sauces. My personal favorite was the condensed milk. They also make their own chocolate and we got to try the famous hot cocoa which was delicious. You can also buy their dark and milk chocolate bars which make the perfect gift to take back to family and friends.
